Emma A. (Green) Jordan

HAVERHILL: Emma A. (Green) Jordan, 84, died April 13, 2010 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House.

Born in Haverhill on October 27, 1925, Mrs. Jordan was the  daughter of the late George H. and Dorothy A. (Haigh) Green.

Mrs. Jordan was educated in Haverhill, and graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1943. Many years ago she had attended Riverside Memorial Church. While she remained home to raise her family she found great enjoyment sewing for her family, drawing and the thrill of completing various puzzles.

Mrs. Jordan is survived by her children, Emma A. “Amy” Lussier and her husband Robert of Haverhill, George W. Jordan and his wife Mary-Jane of Haverhill, Stephen B. Jordan and his companion Barbara Pottle of Newton, NH, Pamela J. Duquette and her husband Paul J. Jr. of El Paso,  TX; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; brother, George H. Green, Jr. of Sandown, NH; sister, Evelyn Sullivan of Haverhill; brother-in-law, Robert E. Jordan of Haverhill, and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late John J. “Sonny” Jordan, Jr., and sister of the late Shirley Walsh.

Friends are invited to the funeral Thursday 11:00 a.m., at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill. Calling hours will precede the funeral from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01830.
